Faces Along the RiverWalk

A few more images from the New Orleans trip.
I always love listening to the street musicians. I
feel like I share a kindred spirit with them...they are
putting their "art" on display by playing for the public,
and we visual artists display our work in shows and
galleries. And they are always so interesting looking..
I enjoy drawing and painting them as well. They seem to
embody the feeling of the city itself.
The mask was made by an artisan as well. It was on
display in one of the many shops in the RiverWalk mall. If
you find yourself down there, be sure and visit, and pick up
some handmade souvenir. The artists there will appreciate
it, and drop some change in a musician's hat while you're
at it!!
