Louisiana Show Coming Together

I worked Saturday setting up

this section for the upcoming Christmas

Open House (which will be here before

we know it!) The Christmas tree will

go where the fake ficus is now. It will

be decorated in whites and greens,

magnolias and pine cones. I hung the

curtains in the windows, priced some of

the gift items, and grouped the bird items,

etc.

There will be lots more gift items here

by Christmas...many are on the way.

Signs of the Times: I have been painting

these little wooden signs. I will have a lot

more. There will be some Saints and

Winnfield Tiger ones, too. I have also gotten

in a lot of tiger and fleur de lis jewelry.

(the Winnfield Tigers and the LSU

Tigers both won this weekend!)

Here is the large watercolor that I

finished awhile back. It is framed now,

and will be joined by several other

egret and bird paintings and art.

There will be one whole section with

lots of New Orleans stuff. This is the

window that I said I had finished off with

some collage elements on the glass

and the wooden window frame. It will

join lots of other New Orleans and South

Louisiana themed things.

We have plans to add a Cajun cabin porch

in part of the gallery, and there will be some

cypress knees and some Spanish moss. It

will all come together...it is just a lot of

work between now and then!
